There are many things that could’ve gone wrong with Dufresne’s escape. One of the factors that he may not have accounted for is the possibility of escaping from his own cell into someone else’s, which would’ve made for a very short movie.

This has perplexed viewers for decades — how would it be possible for Dufresne to put the poster in place after he started crawling through the tunnel? He would have to crawl all the way to the sewage pipes, climb back up, and somehow hold the poster back before going back down. How do you think he did it?
We Are All Innocent Here
Kicking the list off with the cutest and most innocent-looking cat we could find. We think the cat in question would get along quite well with Dufresne. We named it Andy Floofresne.
Some Birds Aren’t Meant To Be Caged But They Are Because Omicron Showed Up
This one hits a bit close to home. Dufresne’s escape plan required him to crawl through 500 yards of sewage, and for most people, 2021 has felt somewhat similar. At least at the end of the day, we have our dark senses of humor to help us through, which is helped along by a generous helping of memes.
The Crossover We Didn’t Know We Needed
We have used “stop being so obtuse” in real-life arguments, and it didn’t end too well for us — although ours wasn’t as bad as 2 months in solitary confinement. Seeing a literal representation of an obtuse angle in this one made us chuckle.
